The new Franklin Community Center is located on the corner of South and State streets. The building replaces the existing community center, which was located on Jefferson street in the old Franklin High School building. The new building is approximately 31,000 sq.ft. and includes the majority of the indoor activities that the Franklin Parks and Recreation Department has to offer. | |
| The building is two levels with the second level including the walking track (which is approximately 1/8 mile). The architecture of the building is an eclectic cottage style, which works with the location. This location is one of the areas were the town-and-gown come together (Franklin College and residential Franklin). The exterior finishes are a mix of split-faced block, brick, and siding. |  |
